    The Fate of the Furious

    ★★½

Somehow I was bored to tears.

  • John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

    ★★★

Better than Chapter Two, but could we cool it on the world building? Too much story for a boy and his dog story. It is lessening the character of John Wick. The mystery of his life is gone so just show him kick ass from now on. No more boring travels around the world to meet who could give a crap, just give me The Raid-style action and call it a day. That's what we paid for. That's what we want. Sometimes an action movie is just an action movie and there ain't nothing wrong with that.

    Pacific Rim: Uprising

    ★★★

This isn’t the first one and it certainly ain’t Shakespeare, but I kinda loved this dumb fun of a movie.

  • The Equalizer 2

    The Equalizer 2

    ★★½

Predicable as all get out. Some decent action, but not enough to bother rushing to see it. Washington walks through this obvious paycheck of a movie acting like the only person who has any sort of brain in their head, while everyone else plays tropey bores who he has to save because they are useless characters who couldn’t do anything without him. And not for nothing, The Equalizer is kind of a smug prick in this one. You’ll forget about it in a day or so.

A sweet film about getting old and fitting in. Lazy Sunday cinema.

Messed up, though Jeffery Combs is at his creepy best.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Young Clint Howard is great. Could have used a bit more scares. The John Wick third act climax was insane and kinda worth it. A light recommend  if you love cheesy 80’s horror.
