Rick Dalton: 'Hey! You're a good friend, Cliff.'
    Cliff Booth: 'I try.'

There have been dynamic duos in Quentin Tarantino's movies before. One may of course think of Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega, the coolest gangster duo the world has ever seen. You may also think of Dr. Schulz and Django, an odd couple still having such a wonderful chemistry making you enjoy every second with them being on the screen in Django Unchained. Rick Dalton and Cliff Booth, however,…

    Random thoughts:

    - Never have 161 minutes been that short. They rather felt like 120.

    - Watching the movie, I felt like being thrown back straight into the 60s. This is by far the most self-consistent Tarantino, and this says a lot. The atmosphere is so tight, and the pictures are breathtaking. Every frame in this movie could be a wallpaper.

    - OUATIH is the first Tarantino which hardly feels like a Tarantino, and I can say this in the…

20th rewatch. First time at the movies. I have never loved this movie more.

How can something be this beautiful?

One of the most compelling movies I have seen in a long time. Every single frame oozes perfection. Its story is as ambiguous as possible. I have read various interpretations on what the message of Burning may be, but there is not one single message or interpretation. Watch the movie, and find it out for yourself. It's worth every single one of those 148 minutes.

Why can't everything be this beautiful?

    Terribly stupid.
    Fucking ugly.
Some of the worst performances I have seen in the last few years.
    Racist as hell.
The worst CGI of the century.
    Product placement from hell.
    Tons of bad movie references.
    Stupid screenplay.
Did I mention the terrible special effects? Yes? Well, it can not be said often or loud enough.
Gets worse with every single second.

    Seriously, avoid this movie.

'Lotta the time we feel our lives are the worst. But I think if you look in anyone else's closet, you wouldn't trade their shit for your shit. So it's good.'

I could watch this movie every day. Having seen it for the third time, there is still so much for me to discover. It feels like Mid90s is the movie for which I have been waiting for years. I am deeply in love with every single character, the look…

    Me (watching the movie):
    - Well, I think it's okay.

    Me (having left the cinema):
    - Damn, it's really some fine movie.

Me (waking up in the middle of the night):
    - Fuck, I can't get this movie out of my head.

Me (one day after having watched Us):
    - THIS IS A GODDAMN MASTERPIECE, AND JORDAN PEELE MUST HAVE BEEN SENT BY GOD TO SAVE THE GENRE OF HORROR!

Without a shadow of doubt the most surreal experience I have ever had in a cinema. Climax is the closest you'll ever come to taking drugs without doing so.

In case you plan on seeing this, see it at the cinema. Otherwise you are an idiot.

The loudest silences I have ever heard.

Damien Chazelle is a genius. When I first heard about him making a biopic about Neil Armstrong, I was quite skeptical to say at least. Having seen it yesterday, I am blown away. First Man is a movie I didn‘t expect. I expected a simple biopic, and I got something completely different.

I especially loved Chazelle‘s and Singer‘s minimalistic approach. First Man is about the essential things. It‘s not a tale about the…
