Booksmart ★★★★½

The basis is certainly a story we’ve seen before, but this debut delivers it in such an entertaining and heartwarming way that it feels so fresh
Molly and Amy have incredible chemistry and every interaction with them lands in comedic gold territory, which makes that scene all the more heartbreaking and intense (That honestly may be my favorite scene of the year excluding anything in Endgame, it was utterly powerful)
Olivia Wilde just really hit gold in every aspect of the film, from the absolutely bonkers soundtrack to the amazing ensemble of side characters
Comparable to Dazed and Confused and Superbad, I found Booksmart to hit all of its emotional marks much stronger than both. Truly a coming of age classic, and I can’t wait for this on physical release! Perfect to see with close friends because it’ll get you sappy but also laughing about all that a strong friendship can be
