As slow as this was at times this is actually a great summer vacation movie. Certain scenes had that same warm Call Me By Your Name feeling which I really liked but honestly I almost hated the ending. They should’ve just kissed.
This movie was wayyy longer than it needed to be. That’s the first thing that comes to mind when I think of it.
Now as for the entirety of it. This movie has a great atmosphere. It held a similar retro vibe that the director’s previous film It Follows had and I really liked it. Certain camera angles and the music really made it feel like a pulpy 80s Hollywood mystery movie. And the first 25-30 minutes were fantastic.
This was the movie I was anticipating the most this year other than Infinity War and by god did it live up to my expectations.
Suspiria as everyone knows is a remake of the 1977 cult classic by the same name. However if I may say this is a very different movie. I won’t get in to detail as I don’t want to spoil but the movie is probably the most memorable experience I’ve had in a movie theater this…
This was actually one of the most insane thrilling movie experiences I’ve ever had.
I’m gonna say anything about the story because the less you know the better to be honest.
I really loved this, the movie knew exactly what it was and where it wanted to go and it just exudes such a unique style. If you’re a Suspiria fan I’d definitely recommend it especially if the movie’s cinematography was your favorite part (it was mine).
Also the soundtrack…
