    Edge of Tomorrow

Edge of Tomorrow is a fine return to form for Tom Cruise that after a few lacking efforts, manages to deliver one of his strongest and best performances in the last few years. What stands out about the film is the story, which is finely crafted, exciting, captivating and memorable. Add to that a solid cast of actors that elevate the film’s ideas, and you have of the most exciting action packed thrill rides in the last few years. Edge…

  • Chernobyl

On April 26th 1986, in the Ukrainian city of Pripyat, The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant suffered one of the greatest nuclear disasters in history. This dramatic miniseries chronicles those events leading up to that meltdown as well as its aftermath. Very well crafted and acted, Chernobyl is a fine miniseries that holds you in suspense from the first episode right up to its final episode. This is a highly thrilling, dramatic show that boasts great acting from its cast and…

    Black Heaven

I very much enjoyed Black Heaven andI felt it was an underrated affair thatdespite its shotckmings was a better movie tgan initially expected. The acting is good as well as the pacing and overall execution. I thought the plot wasgood and that there was enough going on within the film to keep you on the edge of your seat and keep you guessing what will happen next. Of course the has shortcomings, but it is nowhee near as uninspired and uninteresting that people claim it to be. I can see why this film divides opinion, but it is quite good regardless

    There's Always Vanilla

George A. Romero was a great filmmaker, but even the great onex can make a bad film. Throughout his career, Romero would rarely make a bad film, and only have two or three duds in an otherwise impressive filmography. There's Alwsys Vanilla is among his most forgettable films. Although not awful, the film is quite mediocre and feels like a disjointed feature trying to find its footing and sense of trying to deliver a good, entertaining story, which it doesn't.…

  • Antichrist

Lars Von Trier is a unique filmmaker that has a style that I would describe as eccentric, haunting, yet somewhat beautiful. With Antichrist he crafts a film that is horrifying and unforgettable. The cast here is impeccable and Trier’s choices are terrific. Willem Dafoe and actress Charlotte Gainsberg deliver great performances here, and the story itself takes its time to unfold, with steady pacing, which is key in telling an effective story. Antichrist may not be a film for everyone,…

    The Expendables 3

This is a bland, poorly constructed film considering its star power. The Expendables 3 lacks anything remotely good about it, and relies on the same old formula in order to create its thrills. The film didn’t grab my attention like the previous two, and to be honest, I thought it was a waste of time. The film really could have been something great, considering some of the action stars attached to the project, but in the long run, it’s just…
