Honey I Blew Up the Kid

I need somebody to edit Godzilla into this baby’s STAT.

Yeah I dunno, Honey I Blew Up the Baby isn’t the worst thing I’ve seen, but it’s not that good either. The film feels like it was plotted out purely based around the gags the filmmakers thought of. Rick Moranis was good and the kid’s pretty adorable, but nothing was too outstanding. For 1992, most of the visual effects weren’t awful. Middle of the road right here. At least it was a quick watch.

    Bad Boys II

Damn, on the second time around, the first Bad Boys wasn’t as good I remember, but Bad Boys II was a helluva lot better!

Like Point Break which we watched earlier in this Hot Fuzz marathon, this is such a dumb film, but god damn did I have a blast. The plot’s a lot more simplified which gives the actors a lot more freedom to play off eachother. The villains are super cheesy and acted horribly, but like, it doesn’t…

    Point Break

Alright, we paused Hot Fuzz right at the point they put in Point Break and here we are, watching it along with them.

Point Break is not a fantastic movie by any means, but damn it was fun. The music, the waves, KEANU. That skydiving scene was amazing, it conveyed what this whole film is about: a tasteful balance of the free-living thrill ride energy these surfers carried with them as well as the suspenseful drama of Keanu being an…

    Æon Flux

Now THIS is the kind of movie I was hoping to watch when I applied for film school!

Messy, convoluted, bootleg Matrix aesthetics, a really stinky movie. There was just this one person in the movie who decided to replace their feet with hands? They were the only one and tried to play it off as if it was the "new thing?" God it was embarrassing. There's a cool twist in the movie and that's basically the only thing that go me interested. Stinky movie, never try to adapt crazy animes that aired on MTV at 3am into live action films.
