    Kiki's Delivery Service

Definitely my favorite Miyazaki so far. I’ve been lukewarm on his work in the past (blasphemy, I know) but this one really shone in its simple story and gorgeous art. I want to live in that town too!

    A Boy Named Charlie Brown

Hadn’t seen this in years! Remembered all the sadness, forgot the fun artsy musical breaks. And I just need to say how much I LOVE the end credits. Getting to see the faces behind the work was truly special.

    Fast Color

A really intriguing premise but I wanted more! Felt a little unfinished, but I’m glad there will be a series as this seems like a great kicking-off point. Mbatha-Raw is amazing as always.

Alfred Molina is a treasure and we don’t deserve him.

  • Charlotte's Web

    Charlotte's Web

Watched with my daughter and now I can’t kill spiders in front of her anymore.

  • EverAfter

The best Cinderella. Watched with my mom and my three year old, and before we put it on I was trying to remember if it was too inappropriate. I recalled when Danielle cuts that guy’s face, and my mom  pointed out that my daughter needed to learn that if somebody was being creepy with her, she needed to fight back. So on it went.

    Dial M for Murder

Forget Hitchcock’s blondes, what’s up with his tennis stars? Was that the hotshot career of the 1950s?

  • Strangers on a Train

    Strangers on a Train

Underrated and deliciously wicked. Bruno is such a great character.

    Silly and cute.

Adrian “playing” La Campanella with those limp-ass arms is the funniest thing in the world to me.

  • The Martian

    The Martian

Another film to remind me of just how quickly I’d die in space.
