The first 2/3’s were hilarious. I didn’t like the last 1/3 as much.
Black Panther has a very different feel from all of the other Marvel movies. It talks about social issues in a way that almost anyone can relate to and agree with. This movie is important for many reasons.
The action and fight scenes were inventive and exciting to watch. Not endless power-punching, like Superman v Zod. There’s a fight during a free fall that gave me some chills. Not to mention an epic battle.
The pacing was perfect. I don’t…
If you are a parent, or more specifically a dad, this movie will terrify you and make your heart ache. I made a point to watch this without my wife, because she wouldn't have made it very long.
Gut wrenching film about a father and a son trying to survive in one of the most frightening and grim visions of the near future I've ever seen in film.
Loved it, but would not watch it again. You've been warned.
Film number 236 for my 2013 list.
I couldn't look away. I felt her fear. I felt her panic and frustration as she recovered, stumbled and recovered again. I grasped for something to hold onto and I gasped for air with her. I felt comforted by a voice and my heart ached with losses of the past and present. I felt helpless. Alone. But triumphant in the end.
If an experience like that doesn't deserve 5 stars from me, I don't know what ever would. I'm still recovering.
