A brilliant look at the hubris of man. And our built-in fear of truth and facts we just dont like, or that get in our way of getting whatever it is that we want. Ultimately, it’s a look at the human condition that, just like a nuclear reaction, must be kept in balance or explode.

    Captain Fantastic

This is truly one of the most underrated films of the decade. With an incredibly well written and developed script and cast of characters, Captain Fantastic tells a refreshingly honest and hilarious story of familial love. Every rewatch of this awesome film makes me fall in love with it even more. It’s in all the details. And writer/director Matt Ross gets all the details right.

“Goodbye, Mommy!”, then the sound of the airport toilet flushing.

Surprisingly good indie with great performances from Rabe and Chalamet. After seeing how Chalamet stole the screen in this film, I'm even more excited to see his performance in Call Me By Your Name. He's got an emotional intensity and physical awkwardness that captures your attention.

This Swedish film falls into some typical stereotypes at times, both cinematic and otherwise. But it has some strong moments too.
