Todd Malkin’s review published on Letterboxd:
If ever there was a movie that sounded perfect for me, it was this.
Unfortunately, it wasn't that in the slightest. It was... well, not much of anything. A couple intriguing moments left me pining for a better film. Some of the visuals were grand, but the purpose of enjoying them was lost to me. The tales didn't mean anything, and the way they were interwoven was disappointing. (Sometimes I forgot about plots and was unhappy to return to them.) I guess I was hoping for something more like The Fall (or better).
Seriously, this film should have been called More Tales and Stuff to Watch. That's about what I thought of it.
