Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.” - Yoda

The Phantom Menace is maybe one of the most misunderstood movies of all time. When it was released audiences loved it, but over the course of time, it has developed a large amount of hate. As for my personal opinion, I can't get enough of it. Every time I rewatch it I grow an even bigger appreciation for…

Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind

Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind is a perfectly executed documentary that accounts the life of Robin Williams through footage, photos, and a healthy amount of personal interviews. Marina Zenovich brilliantly directs this documentary, and the story being told never takes a dip in its narrative or production value. Robin Williams was a very complex individual, so having his life displayed in a fashion like this is very powerful, and it never feels like they are avoiding any topics in particular. There is always something more to learn about individuals, and this documentary proves that in its slick execution.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice lacks what we love about great comic book movies -- with its shortage of relatable characters and forgettable dialogue it's hard ever to immerse yourself in this film. Revisiting Disney's animated films can sometimes be hard; their brilliant concepts have been ingrained in our minds since youth. Because of movies like Aladdin and The Lion King have such great concepts and excellent voice-acting, it's very easy to take them for granted. Rewatching Aladdin (1992) was no exception to this because it does practically everything better than its recent live-action remake. All of the little things this film does well adds up throughout the runtime and makes one of…

  • Chef

Chef is undeniably one of the most authentic movies of all time - it seems as if Jon Favreau didn't set out make a dime in his efforts to entertain the big screen. There is so much to love about this film, in large part due to Favreau's commitment to the movie. Directing, writing, and starring in your movie isn't an easy thing to do, and he makes it look effortless, getting great performances from his cast along the way. Watch this film to hear a booming Miami soundtrack and feel good by the time the credits roll.
