Would be 5 if the lead male was more interesting (even Edward G Robinson is better than him). Barbara Stanwyck is phenomenal. Billy Wilder's script is just...flawless.
Although this feels longer like the actual runtime, the last 20 minutes...b*tch I actually sobbed. This movie is proof of humane and detailed craft of filmmaking. I may be biased because stories about people leaving from your life, memories or being forgotten are the ones that get to me the most. But whatever, it's such a good feeling when a movie can make you cry.
