Indie director Nicole Holofcener finally receives the mainstream recognition she deserves with the quirky, down-to-earth romantic comedy Enough Said. The strength of this film lies in both the subtle dialogue and realistic story. It also doesn't hurt that Julia Louis-Dreyfus and James Gandolfini deliver outstanding performances. The humor is subtle and works well with the characters and the secondary characters provided diversity to the plot and added interesting dynamics. All of that in mind, the pacing was slow and inconsistent and the story lulled from time to time. Bottom line, this is one of the better romantic comedies out there. I'd recommend it to fans of the genre.
