This is an absolute blast — clever, funny, heartwrenching — and a sometimes not-so-subtle invective against Brexit, oligarchy, and ethnonationalism. There is little not to love about this film.
If his Murder on the Orient Express didn’t exist, I’d say this was peak Kenneth Branagh: ponderous dialog, overacting, languorous cinematography, and a running time at least 30 minutes too long.
