It's been a while since I've watched such a low-budget B-movie, but even a lot longer since I've watched such a goofy "gender, amirite?" type comedy. I thought I'd left that genre behind but this is proof that there is still some silly fun to be had with it.
This is a flimsy film held together with scotch tape and a prayer, but also so overflowing with wacky enthusiasm and unvarnished creativity from the director and lead performers, so there's a lot to enjoy.
There's regressive stuff here with regards to gender, and some stuff we see in every version of this type of story, but also a surprising amount of queer vibes and themes, taking the usual jokes and conundrums a step further with the romance plotline, and that's fun too!
Not bad for a random oddity on YouTube.
