But all those things you like about slashers — the nudity, the sex, the gory kills, the grotesque makeup effects, the scary killer, the joy of watching annoying teens get massacred — none of them is present in this movie. I guess Desecrated is aiming for something a little more suspense-driven, but the filmmaking is nowhere near up to the task. The direction is bland. The action is poorly staged. The videography is cheap, with some really ugly color correction. The characters are shallow and irritating. The acting is lousy. I hate to beat up on a small-budget movie like this, but everything here is just … bad.

I think Napoleon Dynamite would've been quite a different movie if Michael Ironside were Summer Wheatley's Dad.
If you're in a hurry, I'll sum up my review thusly: This film sucks goat balls.
Ok, if you have time to read the rest of the review, read on.
This film follows 6 people as they make their way to a ranch somewhere for Spring Break. They have names, but can be summed up as: The rich girl, her "not good enough for her" boyfriend, the token black guy, the vapid one, the guy who can't keep it in his pants, and his Russian girlfriend. They are all REALLY obnoxious and I hate every one of them.
The rest of the cast is filled out the caretaker Ben and the rich girl's dad, played by Michael Ironside for the…
Pretty good to be quite honest, definitely low budget but I quite liked the story, not much gore and to much int hat department but It was better than most horrors I saw in 2014 combined. Have high hopes for horror this year, this is just the start.
Turn on your iPhone and film the wall next to you. That'll be a more entertaining watch this film.
Decent little thriller where Haylie Duff and her unlikeable friends head to her fathers property deep in the country that is being looked after by a former marine who may or may not be unstable.
People die. Although the characters are stereotypical it’s still a pretty good movie.
Utterly surprise-free nonsense where unlikeable dicks get killed by a chap with PTSD and, just, who cares?
Not Brilliant but i did kind of like this for mainly one reason, the killer. There's nothing new here, kids getting stalked and slashed in backwoods. If you want to pass an hour and half and don't want anything too taxing then give it a go.
Honestly one will get more out of 80 minutes sitting in a room with one's own thoughts versus watching this unoriginal snooze fest of a movie. It's nothing you haven't seen a million times before, acted a million times better, and filled with flat characters that have nothing in terms of actual character. It gets the bonus one star of at least passing filmmaking basics. Even in the early 2000s, this film would've been seen as stale (it's gone to moldy bread at this point) and following tropes. There's nothing to recommend unless you had a friend involved making in this production and want to support their career. I try to always to have constructive criticism, but this film has no redeeming value to support anything about its existence. Back to the drawing board; better luck next time.
