Extreme Navy Seal John Kennedy Brascoe (Dan Andersen) gets extremely fired from military service after a mission goes awry, ending in a dead kid and a dead Kove. Forced into the private sector, Brascoe is faced with mounting medical bills as he and his ex (Sarah Shahi) get their ill son into an experimental cancer treatment run by Rick Overton. When attempted blackmail of a known wealthyman and frustrated porn choreographer Baker (Michael Ironside) goes poorly, Brascoe gets a team of familiar character actors together to infiltrate Baker's home for a good old fashioned cash heist. Will Brascoe be able to resist the urge to gloat to the obviously dangerous man about stealing his money, or will rampant stupidity guarantee…
This one hit me right in the so bad it’s good center. Don’t let the names on the cover fool you the real star is Dan Andersen, a lumbering beefcake so devoid of any charisma that he makes Oliver Gruner seem like Brando. Andersen sadly never acted again, but I guess if you’ve set the gold standard in your debut what more world is there to conquer.
After the opening action scene the first half of the film is mainly concerned with John Kennedy Brascoe (Andersen) trying to raise 5 million dollars to give his son a experimental cancer cure. This includes a montage of Brascoe calling people on the phone and crossing off names on a list, all set…
From the cover, I was expecting a Gruner-vehicle but I got a Dan Andersen vehicle instead.
Dan who ?
In his only acting role, this super wooden acting stiff of a hunk is John Kennedy Brascoe (sic!), a Navy officer who tries to find money for a cure to save his dying leukemia son.
There’s very little action. Gruner is only there for 10 minutes and the only saving grace is Ironside who once again gave it all as a billionaire baddie.
Thank God that beef hunk retired from film business in a hurry.
