Look, if a movie can present a mystery that feels worthy of pursuit, I am all in. In this movie, everything seems strange and I dare you to figure out what is going to happen next. I was quite confused, but in the best possible way.
Even the genres confused me. I expected a comedy, but that's just a little part of it, you’ll find a subtle war movie, a romance and even a dark thriller near the end. And that might very well be something that turns people off, but I was just intrigued.
And I don’t even truly know what movies to compare it to. It feels like it has elements of certain Kubrick and Coppola movies, only…
A truly random watch. I walked over to my comedy section, this was the 2nd movie I selected for the night. After watching it I'll put it in the drama section. It's not terrible, it's just not good. I was confused through some of it, I'm guessing on a lot of what was going on but the movie tries to keep it vague. It's not anything I'd recommend. Michael Ironside is one of my favorite character actors so he was great to see.
The frequencies of this movie must perfectly correspond with those produced by my own brain venom because I can not see why this has a low rating. A dream-like, kafkaesque dark comedy about how the military aren't only cunts but are a massive waste of time; the fuck more do you want?
WT.... waste of my life. Puffins were cute and snow blizzards cold, for the rest... why did I bother??
