I think this movie is the core of Shawn Levy's entire filmography. Funnily enough, this one is also not on Disney+ and is the first Disney sitcom to get the big screen treatment.
Sitting down with this, I remembered this being more boring than it actually was. It's also kinda great how much of a companion piece it is to its source material, the TV show, and how well it works without the previous context. Insanity across the new world involving tech is sort of the basis for any Shawn Levy project. That vague description could apply to any story in the Hero's Journey though, and nearly every story anyway for film, but for Levy, this sort of story is his bread and butter. Is this the start of it all? Eh, possibly, I didn't check. But either way, this was an entertaining film I didn't have much to say on, so I just rambled for a bit
