God, these films are amazing.
I think I prefer the first one a very slight amount. This one obviously has a greater sense of scale with John having a contract out on him, ensuing in nonstop action, but it feels like it loses that central focus the original had. While this one had better action sequences (the opening warehouse) ((the SUBWAY)) (((the fucking MIRRORS EXHIBIT))), Riccardo Scamarcio is a significantly weaker villain. I’m glad we finally got to see what John can do with a pencil.
I feel like the filmmakers almost accidentally stumbled across a gold mine…
