My new second favorite Romantic Comedy, and a hilariously dysfunctional one at that.
So bummed Krista Lane didn’t act more. Her gravelly ass voice is music to my ears.
A lot of these pure Chuck Vincent (written, directed, edited, produced) films feel like they could have worked well on a stage, partly because many of the actors were stage veterans, but also because Chuck made sure there was a solid story and dialogue. The budget didn’t allow for much more. These films are made with love and it shows. Nobody got better performances out of porno actors not having sex than Chuck.
Goofy nonsense, but also very harmless. It only had one wild scene where things felt very Chuck Vincent...a party right at the beginning. It really could have used another standout scene or two. At it stands, we listen to two people argue for the duration of the run time. Which feels a little exhausting after awhile.
A more dysfunctional, more exploitative romantic comedy has never existed.
This was more fun than I expected, and I owe this a closer watch someday. This afternoon I watched this while I cleaned out my garage, and it deserves better than the little attention I allowed it.
