A woman finds out she's pregnant and returns home when the expected father wants nothing to do with her.
Living off the Irish coast in a cottage with a bearded, bejumpered Aidan Quinn? And we get to have afternoon naps? Yes-fucking-please.
My first time watching Taylor Schilling in something that is not 'Orange Is the New Black'. In the series her character proves that, in an ensemble cast, the protagonist is usually the dullest character. She's likable in this, but still not the most interesting character. Her character is in her late-20s and living with a 20-something-year-older man, when she becomes pregnant. Apparently he's never been very open to the idea, and so she returns home to Canada to visit her father. She assures Quinn that she will return, and her time away allows both characters to come around…
Sweet, heartfelt just not my favorite tbh. Ireland looks so gorgeous though I really want to visit one day.
A movie about two broken people. A big whatever for this one. It looks nice because sea side homes in Ireland are beautiful. There is just not really a story here.
Very weird, inconsistently written film. Without a definite ending.
~I really liked Abby's father though.
couldnt tell you a single plot point that happened but i can tell you that barry is unbelievably cute in this
Aiden Quinn and Taylor Schilling are a May - December romance in Ireland who come to a crossroads when she learns she is pregnant and he doesn’t want kids.
Well acted romantic drama by both leads. Beautifully shot. Always enjoyed Aiden Quinn’s work.
Michael Ironside is also featured in a supporting role.
Good flick.
So I just spent 1h30m watching this instead of the Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts, Ryan Gosling 2005 movie with the same title because Prime Video decided to put the same description and actors instead of the correct ones lol
I won’t even bother rating this cause I was so confused the whole time cause I was literally waiting to see Ryan Gosling
S/o Taylor Schilling and Barry Keoghan
