Synchronicity is one of those movies that spends most of its running time making you think of other movies, instead of keeping you focused on its own identity, which it does in the first place because, of course, it doesn't have its own identity.
Throughout, Synchronicity basically looks and feels like a poor man's Primer, a poor man's Blade Runner, a poor man's Moon, a poor man's Timecrimes, and a poor man's Beyond The Black Rainbow (among many other potential/likely influences).
But then again, this film probably had a much lower budget than all of those films (made especially evident with the green screen scenes), so technically,…
