Skillfully crafted, directed and performed, Tokyo Trial is a fine retelling of the Trial that prosecuted Japanese war criminals. Assembling a very good cast of talent and also told in a documentary style, this is an engaging feature for viewers that are interested in such a subject. The Nuremberg trial was the basis of the Tokyo Trial, as the Allies seeked to bring Japanese war criminals to justice. This miniseries is very good, highly interesting and quite entertaining. The acting is top notch and each episode unravels an interesting aspect of this saga. The script is very well written and the miniseries is very well crafted and is a fine feature that will surely please war film buffs.
Tokyo Trial…
bad. bad acting, storytelling, and script. awkward and unenjoyable. very confusing and they seem to try to explain things like they're giving a high school presentation instead of like normal people. would not recommend it.
Interesting and well made mini series about the lengthy trial of Japanese war criminals after WW2. It's really just men talking and discussing for four hours, but it never becomes boring.
Interesting, little known part of history that needs to be told. However it isn't the most glamorous story watching a bunch of old men discuss legal jargon
If you are even slightly intrigued by history, you will want to watch this.
Uneven performances but great dilemmas.
A good 4, 50-minute episodes of a series that tells the tale of the real events that took place during one of the most important trials in history.
Not very often you come across a dozen middle aged men discussing politics and international law for 4 episodes- and managing to be bearable for all that while.
Intriguing show with decent coverage of the Tokyo Trials. The number of episodes could have been more with lesser run time to break the monotony of too much dialogue. But otherwise a very splendidly made show full of intricate details and information. Good introduction to amateur enthusiasts who are generally eager to know more about WW2 history and aftermath.
Also, Irrfannnnnn. 🥲❤️
A very interesting and an enlightening watch considering the political climate of today.
