I started to appreciate it a bit too late as I was left until the very end thinking what I truly thought about it, unsure of it. The actors carried the whole movie on their shoulders and they deserve every recognition they are getting, on the other hand the writing and the editing are a bit slow and weak, ending up in creating a strong contrast that left me confused. It's not a bad movie overall, but some directing choices make it impossible to define it a very good one

The favorite non è da meno dei suoi lavori precedenti seppur sotto una maschera leggermente diversa: una commedia grottesca di corte che mette in scena gli aspetti più viscerali…
I think I still need time to process this. 10 years of MCU, it all leads to this and it couldn't be better. I was honestly afraid this movie could be too predictable but believe me when I say you are not ready for what's coming.
Here is a list FULL OF SPOILERS of the things that really got me, from beginning to ending:

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
can't believe a movie about a woman fucking a fish just became one of my favourite movies ever life truly is weird
reasons why this movie just entered my list of Personal Masterpieces in my heart:
• it's a fairy tale in its own way, we got the princess, the weird stranger prince she fell for and the mean monster who wants to ruin everything, fantasy creatures and settings
• the main character's disability is not portrayed as a problem…
