    American Pie 2

    ★½

Part of an American Pie marathon (okay, fine, it was only the first two) for me and the first time I've watched them as a post-college adult.

American Pie 2 is nowhere near as new or well-put-together as the original, but it shares the akward laughs. Still a solid watch that will probably be considered a real teen-comedy classic soon, but did not age particularly well.

    American Pie

    ★★½

Far better than I remember. Stands up in comedy to today, but in a weird nostalgic way. The fact that this movie has aged horribly is a lot of it's charm in 2019.

    Captain Marvel

    ★★★½

I feel like this movie suffers from Superman Syndrome. Captain Marvel is too powerful, but they did a great job of humanizing her and really allowing her to "grow into" her powers, for lack of a better term. I'm more excited to see the connection to The Avengers: Endgame than anything, and Nick Fury's origin seemed more consequential to the MCU than Captain Marvel's own.

That being said, it's a Marvel movie. I'm never not going to enjoy it.
