SPOILERS Let me start off by saying, this film is fantastic. I absolutely adored this movie and Jordan Peele has once again made another mind-boggling film that will stick with the audience for years to come. Everything from the direction, the score, the writing, the acting (especially Lupita Nyongo’s oscar worthy performance) was phenomenal. [SPOILERS] absolutely phenomenal. i have seen many horror films and very few have gotten me this pumped about the genre. this film was gripping, hilarious, frightening, and everything else i could want in a horror film but this time it’s done perfectly. i actually cared about the main character and Daniel Kaluuya’s performance was fantastic. the hidden political themes were executed amazingly and wasn’t forced down our throats. the comedy worked perfectly for the most part but i felt like…

i wanted to love this film, i really did but this film was just a massive disappointment. coming off of Nightcrawler (2014) written and directed by Dan Gilroy starting Jake Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo, i thought this film was going to be a masterpiece. sadly it lacks motivation and passion. the pacing is horrendous and found myself bored through most of it. The film does have its moments though; the death scenes were well executed, Jake Gyllenhaal’s performance was fantastic, the visuals were stunning however this film was really forgettable. easily the biggest disappointment of 2019 as of yet and i saw Glass.

i was never really into musicals so this film wasn’t at the top of my watchlist. i regret not seeing it sooner than i did because this film is phenomenal. i can’t stop listening to the album.

    M. Night Shyamalan is typically said to be hit or miss when it comes to his films but I’d say this is his first film to actually go in between.
