I love baseball and I love Toby Huss but this film was just so ham-fisted. Any nuance came from the humor Huss and Chris Meloni were able to fold into their characters.
An absolutely beautiful film. Even with a relatively long run-time, it never stops moving along. There's not one scene that I thought went on for a second longer than it should.
The choice to shoot black & white is honored with incredible lighting that not transports you to not only another time in in history, but also in film making.
Seeing it for the first time, so long after it's initial release, afforded me the interesting perspective of time's context. Ralph…
