Ninotchka ★★★★½

"Comrades! People of the world! The revolution is on the march... know... wars will wash over us... bombs will fall... all civilization will crumble... but not yet, please... wait, wait... what's the hurry? Let us be happy... give us our moment..."

That line feels like Lubitsch's thesis. This flick is a little over-long and Melvyn Douglas is no Maurice Chevalier but my God, it's still wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
