Dammit why did it take me so long to watch this?
Emotionally it makes up for some of the depth 'hell or high water' had but what great central performances.
Whilst it's not the garbage fire it's made out to be, Hellboy is definitely far from a good film. It's loud, nonsensical with an awful plot and sense of pacing, weird jarring tonal shifts and disturbing clashes of editing and directing styles that clearly illustrate the problems during production.
With that in mind however, four or five scenes definitely benefit from Marshall's eye and feature some great practical effects - so it's not a total loss.

Rogue one is impeccable visually. From Edward's direction to the visual effects work, it's astounding. The first hour however falters plot-wise, introducing too many characters and not giving them room to breathe. Despite this though, the performances shine through with some utterly fantastic moments of wonder and emotion. Felicity Jones (Oh how I love you) is fantastic as Jyn, with Alan Tudyk sneaking in again and stealing the show as another great droid K2-SO.…
