    The Spectacular Now

Been a good bit since I’ve watched this— Teller and Woodley are so perfect together on screen and the supporting cast all provide respectable contributions.

Something I noticed this time around that I hadn’t really taken note of before (as I said, it’s been a while) is how beautifully lit this film is. I was entranced by so many shots. It’s actually one of the movie’s primary strengths that make it stand out among the rest of the indie coming…

    It Comes at Night

I’ve said this online before but just haven’t logged it. This should have been a short film, there was absolutely no need to stretch this out into a feature. Got to catch a free sneak preview screening. Not going to elaborate much on this one because I don’t feel the need to honestly.

Stupid Sam Raimi fun. That pretty much sums it up. Don’t get mislead— this isn’t a horror film. If you saw the preview, that’s all it is. No intrigue, just... that.

It was fun to watch. For free. Would I spend $13 on it? Not a chance. But I suppose for the sheer entertainment, I’ll give it a 3/5. The effects were pretty good and performances were solid enough.
