  • Happy Death Day

    Happy Death Day

A perfect mix of suspense and comedy. Not particularly scary at all apart from a few jump scares but did have me thinking who the killer could be for most of the movie. Loved the ending because I genuinely freaked out like NO NOT AGAIN, but alas it was just a joke.

  • Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

    Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Thoroughly enjoyed this, actually a lot more than I thought I would. There was actually a few parts I jumped at, the kid beside me in the cinema jumped out his seat so many times it was hilarious.
    Points to note:
    - Why does no one ever listen to Dr Malcom?
    - I cried at that one dinosaur on the island left, if you know you know.
    - I want to live in that house.
    - I was so emotionally invested in Blue this whole film.
    - ANOTHER sequel????

  • The Cabin in the Woods

    The Cabin in the Woods

This film, wow. The start had me feeling evil dead vibes and I was totally digging the creepy cabin thing and then it went crazy. This is definitely one of the most original concepts I've seen in a while and even though I was wondering what the hell was going on for a while I actually REALLY enjoyed it. Although I didn't find it scary there were definitely tense parts and also some really funny parts.

  • Sorority Row

    Sorority Row

I remember seeing this in the cinema when I was younger and being scared and also thinking it was a really good movie. Unfortunately I honestly didn’t really enjoy it at all this time around, and I love stupid teen horror movies. The girls weren’t really likeable characters and I really didn’t care if they lived or died. However seeing Carrie Fisher being a bad ass bitch with a shotgun really made this movie for me.

  • Scream

An absolute classic to say the least. The opening scene is timeless and sets the rest of the film up. Absolutely packed with puns and nods to horror as a genre. Extremely quotable. Basically aim to look like Drew Barrymore in this film at all times. The ending is never expected. I was young when this film came out and I remember seeing people in the ghostface mask a lot and it used to scare the shit out of me.

‘The exorcist was on and it got me thinking of you’

  • Hereditary

Genuinely the best movie I’ve seen in a long time. Was quite a slow burner but boy the final third of this movie is WILD. I felt unsettled the entirety of the movie, almost on the edge of my seat, even though it wasn’t terrifying.
    Points to note:
    - The driving scene SHOOK me to the core.
    - So many BUGS.
    - Give Toni an Oscar!

  • The Beyond

    The Beyond

I mean hey, maybe a hotel on top of a gateway to hell isnt such a great idea. This movie was bizarre but also kind of wonderful.
    Points of note:
    - If I had just inherited a creepy hotel where people were dying left right and centre I would be out of there no questions asked.
    - There was so much eyeball gore in this film, that shit makes me uncomfortable.
    - I really didn’t think I had any sort…

  • Legally Blonde

    Legally Blonde

A truly iconic piece of film. Bend and snap.

  • Wish Upon

    Wish Upon

I have no idea why I really enjoyed this movie, but I did...
This movie actually contains a full sequence of someone explaining what smegma is, that’s patter. Also ‘your dad is totes hot sauce, sriracha hot sauce’ made me laugh a lot.

  • Sleepwalkers

Truly, what did I just watch...?
    Points to note:
    - I want to hug every cat in this movie, especially Clovis.
    - Mädchen Amik is a beautiful bad ass bitch.
    - Stephen King’s cameo made me laugh.
    - Cop kebab????
