    Ready Player One

    ★★★½

Video game addiction is becoming an epidemic across the world! The world is in need of a movie to chronicle this infestation. But Ready Player One simply says "f*** that s***! Pew pew pew!"! From the the billion dollar anus of Steven Spielberg comes the epic story of how there is more to life then just virtual reality gaming... but not really it's not that bad. But who cares about the story when there's Mecha Godzilla! Ready Player One will…

  • Arrival

    Arrival

    ★★★½

    70/100

I was amped for this movie. I didn't want to build it up too much in my head.

After watching I was a bit disappointed and felt as though it had some lacking features and the ending really dragged on even though there was no more story. I really don't like it when movies do an artsy long slideshow with no dialogue forcing the conclusion slowly down your throat. I put the pieces together already you don't need to…

I thought this was a zoolander spin off... Too bad

  • Lights Out

    Lights Out

    ★★★½

    65/100

Creative set pieces carry this film with creative ways to use light to save the characters asses. Get a little bit too dues ex machina-y as a brief flicker of light comes at the perfect moment to save from certain death; but that helps with the tension so I'll give it a pass.

K, characters are alright, likeable but they are very stupid. VERY STUPID. Like they understand how the ghost works and operates and feeds off the darkness…

  • The Invitation

    The Invitation

    ★★★½

    70/100

    Pros:
-Style is very unique and precise
-Characters seemed real and genuine (although not very likeable)
    -Impressive filmmaking and good shots.

    Cons:
-builds up to a payoff that did not come as a surprise or mystery.
-characters seemed to be like goldfish that flip flop back and forth depending on the situation, eg creepy guy tells creepy story... "What the Eff is wrong with this guy?... This is creeping me out" Five seconds later they comment on the amazing…

  • The Conjuring 2

    The Conjuring 2

    ★★★½

A decent horror film in its own right. It only suffers from living in the shadow of a far superior predicesor.

  • Winter's Bone

    ★★★½

    73/100

Great first film for Jennifer Lawrence in this drama that has a very detailed view of southern life. The good and the bad. A very different look at the American upbringing and how messed up a childhood can really be.

Lawrence's strong performance was the X factor in this piece.

I would definitely recommend this for those of you who like a slow burn drama and a feminine lead.

  • The Revenant

    The Revenant

    ★★★½

So much great things to say about it but why did scenes drag on so much? Also, I guess humour wasn't a concept in that time, I wanted to be the Indian hanging in the tree.

Other then that, great film. Good job Leo!

  • Gladiator

    Gladiator

    ★★★½

This movie has not really aged that well in my mind. Still worth watching though

  • Gravity

    Gravity

    ★★★½

This film lost a lot for me after rewatching it outside of the IMAX. Still a good movie but if you saw it in theatres, don't watch it again.

  • Music and Lyrics

    Music and Lyrics

    ★★★½

I normally hate this kind of movie. But after getting forced to watch it I actually found myself enjoying it.
Decent film, nothing to scream home about

  • The Core

    The Core

    ★★★½

    Guilty pleasure to the max!

This is a dumb movie. The science is laughable and the physics are cheese and the plot is a garbage fire.

Somehow I still managed to like this movie and would watch it again. I feel like I should get my brain scanned for saying it but this film does something special in that I am still interested in it despite a lack of everything. Bravo *slow clap*
