This is still just as hard a watch as ever. The scene where the kid gets hit is just gut-wrenching.
I haven't revisited this in some time, since its Oscar night, why not. This really hasn't lost a beat for me. I'm a 90s kid and this is pure 90s to its absolute core, but Damon and Williams' performance are out of this world. Doubly hard to watch Williams knowing that some of the stuff he's saying probably was real for him. At times it can be tough to hold back the tears, but I would watch this film again tomorrow without hesitation. Great work all around.
I've watched this movie countless times in the past, but it has been many years. It popped up on PlutoTV so I thought I would see if it holds up, and oh hell yes it does. This is one of the finest of Jackie Chan's early bizarro kung fu movies and I love it. I wonder if its on blu-ray...
