Tourist Trap ★★★½

A group of kids stumble across a wax museum in the middle of nowhere and encounter a killer who owns a ton of creepy mannequins.

When this movie wants to be creepy, it gets pretty creepy. If the opening scene at the diner doesn't grab you, nothing else in this movie will. The acting is all-around pretty strong, which is pleasantly surprising given its budget. The mannequins are the best part, though, almost always super-creepy, especially when their mouths flop open with "aahhhhhs." The killer is also pretty creepy (look at the poster). On the downside, the pace could be a little faster and some of the musical cues felt out of place. All-in-all, though, definitely worth a look.
