I'm no fan of the prequels (despite liking what Lucas was going for on a conceptual level) but the absurd level of contempt that fanboys have for the man is pathetic. There's literally a scene where a grown man breaks all his Star Wars toys in a fit of rage because he didn't like a Star Wars movie…
