I wish this was better than what we got. This had potential but it’s nothing but a soulless cash grab with a likeable cast. Shame really.
I do appreciate when Sandler doesn’t use his usual motley crew of SNL pals. It brings the quality up a little in modern times. Movie is a nice departure from the usual Sandler destination bro-cation to something a little bit more pedestrian at best despite being filmed in Western Europe.
So in short, this is one of his better Netflix movies that you’ll totally not feel like shit for watching.
A Simple Favour pleasantly surprised me. I'm a fan of Paul Feig's work so I was cautiously optimistic to see if he can handle a film that is a drastic departure from his previous movies and he does exactly that. Everything from the plot to the set design and costuming were great.
It's pretty damn refreshing to see Anna Kendrick in something good for a change. I was getting a little worried with her film choices. But it's Blake Lively…
