Viktor Prentovski’s review published on Letterboxd :
I usually enjoy baseball movies like Moneyball and Field of Dreams. 42 is not one of them. A story of hope and breaking the color barrier in baseball. We all know how this story goes-nobody wants a black dude in their team, someone decides that he needs to break the color barrier, adjustments and reactions to that decision and fame for the player. It doesn't do anything new, and this is where it fails. The performances were OK, but they were nothing special. An average baseball movie.
