Capturing the Friedmans ★★★★

Traumas pile atop traumas until the whole thing collapses on itself, and police investigators aggressively dissect the mess to find something resembling justice. It's psychologically and sociologically complex, and there aren't clear answers to be found. It's certainly interesting to view something this ambiguous in the "believe victims" era. The film would almost certainly have a different message if it were made today.
